Farbe Enterprise runs CapitalScope. This policy explains what personal data we process and why, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
If you have an account
- Your name, e-mail address and, if you give it, your phone number, to run your account and send messages you need (confirmation, password reset).
- Your password, stored only as a salted scrypt hash that cannot be turned back into the password.
- Your watchlist, saved searches and plan, to provide the service.
- Optional: whether you agreed to receive news about CapitalScope. You can withdraw this at any time.
If you use the marketplace
- Your marketplace profile (name, mobile number, city, who holds the shares, residency), the declarations you accepted, and your requests, to review them and to put you in touch with registered partners.
- A partner dealer sees your profile and e-mail only when you ask it to contact you, or when you and another member both agree to an introduction. We share nothing with the other member.
- A holding statement you upload is seen only by you and our reviewers and is deleted a set number of days after the review or when the request closes. We never ask for PAN, Aadhaar, bank or demat account numbers; if a partner checks your identity (KYC), we keep only the outcome and its reference.
If you use the analyst or work for an institutional customer
- Questions you ask the analyst are kept for 90 days, with whether they could be answered, to apply daily limits and improve the analyst.
- If a language model is used to word answers, it receives your question and the figures CapitalScope computed — never your name, e-mail or other account details.
- For members of an institutional organisation: your membership and role, invitations, API keys (stored only as a fingerprint) with their usage by day, bulk exports and research requests are visible to your organisation's owners and administrators and to CapitalScope staff.
Security records
To protect accounts we record sign-in attempts and important account actions with the IP address and browser used. Sign-in attempts are kept for 180 days; the audit log of account and data changes is kept as long as the account and the records it concerns exist.
Usage statistics
We count searches and page views to improve the service and to show which companies are trending. We do not store visitors' IP addresses for this: a visitor is a code calculated from the IP address and browser with a key that changes every day, so the same person cannot be followed from one day to the next.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
People named in company records
Company records include directors' names and, where the public register publishes it, their Director Identification Number. We show these as recorded by public registers. Director pages are not offered to search engines. To ask for a correction, write to us.
Service providers
Our hosting provider stores the site, its database and uploaded documents; our e-mail provider sends account and marketplace e-mails; if configured, a language-model provider words the analyst's answers; Cloudflare Turnstile checks that sign-ups are made by people. They process data only to provide those services.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to exercise your rights. Write to info@FarbeEnterprise.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
